About Jola Happihood
Jola loves art and concerns about global warming, she considers recycled paper as her key medium to express her passion to alleviate wastage problems.
Paper is used as a medium to record memories, Jola finds the beauty of used paper and believes it could be reused to form beautiful art piece with different textures which stimulate many imaginations. Paper can be expressed through origami, paper cut or quilling…etc.. It is greatly versatile and feasible, which allows her create many different forms. Last but not least, she can recycle unwanted parts after creation.
Jola founded Happihood Creations in 2016 hoping to bring happiness to everyone. Her origami red packets design has allowed her to win Hong Kong Smart Gift Design Awards, Hong Kong Global Design Awards and the 29th Hong Kong Printing Awards from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, Jola and her team received the Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship fund to design a series of paper art workshop for students with special educational needs. In 2019, Happihood Creations has graduated from the Design Incubation Programme organized by Hong Kong Design Centre.
